Sponsorship And Grants

Grants and Sponsorship The Credit Union movement is worldwide and we are affiliated to WOCCU (the World Council of Credit Unions) through our trade organization ABCUL (The Association of British Credit Unions).

We thank all our current Grant providers for helping LASA to grow in Swansea. We have received Objective One Funding from the Welsh Assembly to pay for core costs to help build the future of the credit union and the community. We provide low cost loans and keep Swansea’s wealth within the city. As we grow we will be able to provide a better return to our savers.

The City and County of Swansea have supported the Credit Union in Swansea for many years through Compact Funding and we now have a main office at Cradock Street on the edge of the City Centre. We hope to work towards more central premises where we will become more high profile and seen as a more viable and local alternative to high street banks.

LASA Credit Union in Swansea has been chosen as one of just 12 organisations to benefit from the Financial Services Authority's Innovation Fund.

LASA is developing several new initiatives requiring Sponsorship including Junior Accounts for the 16’s and under and Paypoint to increase access to LASA accounts.

We are also looking at new Government initiatives to see how we can support these. If you would like to provide support for these ideas through sponsorship please contact us and we will provide a link to your business and a mentionon on this very page.

LASA Credit Union Ltd. is Regulated by the Financial Services Authority (FSA).
Our trade organisation is Association of British Credit Unions (ABCUL).
